CAGNEY to Conclude its Historic Off-Broadway Run in May

My dear pal and client (for special projects), Robert Creighton, will be moving on from the off-Broadway production of CAGNEY on May 28th 2017, after over 500 performances of the musical he co-wrote with Peter Colley (book) and Christopher McGovern (music). Keith Sherman and Associates, the publicists who represent the show, report that producer Riki Kane Larimer is eyeing an L.A run before bringing the show to Broadway in 2018. The seed for CAGNEY began germinating when Robert was in school, and a teacher told him he looked like Jimmy Cagney, the international film star whose on-screen persona as a tough guy belied his tender "everyman" heart.

If you have a chance to listen to Robert's interview with Leonard Lopate from January, you'll get a great idea of how steeped Robert has become in Cagney history. I'm wishing Robert and the entire cast the best as they conclude their amazing, year-long run, which included an Astaire Award for Robert! He is a red-hot tap dancer.
